Texas Hold em Poker Rules Texas Hold’em is a great game to play but before you do so you should know some things about the game. First and foremost you should know the rules of the game. Know that the cards are shuffled between each time that they are used to ensure the security of the game. Online, each casino has a Random Number Generator which makes sure that the cards that come up are totally random. First you need to understand what the blinds are. The two players that sit to the left of the dealer are the players that deal with the blinds. The first player puts in half of the minimum bet and the next player buts the whole minimum bet. The reason for this is to make sure that there is something in the pot to play for. When the players do this it is called placing the blinds. After the blinds are placed each player is dealt two cards face down these are the players “hole” cards, no other player gets to see these cards until the hand is over and it is time to declare the winner. Now the first round of betting takes place, in this round the player can call, raise, or fold. After the first betting round is over the “Flop” is laid out on the table. This is when the dealer lays out three community cards, which means that each player can use these cards to help their hand. After the Flop another round takes place in this round players can check, raise, call or fold depending on their hand. Next is the “Turn” or “Fourth Street”, which is when another card is dealt face up for all of the players to use. Another round of betting follows which is started by the player to the left of the dealer. The “River” also known as the “Turn” this is the final card that is placed face up on the table for all of the players. Now the final round of betting is conducted and the winner is revealed. When all of the cards have been laid out on the table each player has a total of seven cards to use to make one great five-card poker hand. This is the object of the game, the person with the best possible poker hand wins. This game is very easy to learn but many people dedicate their whole lives to making themselves experts. After the winner of the game is determined the bets and winnings are claimed and the table is cleared and the game starts all over again. Now that you know a little about the game you can go into the casino and play a little bit more intelligently. A lot of people go into the game thinking that they can just wing it, those people often just end up losing their bankroll.
